Introduction
Children and young people are given help with their homework and English classes, but they can also attend computer workshops and recreational activities. Social issues are also attended to because all of the children and youth live in poverty conditions.

Summary

• We seek to: Volunteers with experience working with children or youth.
• Spanish level required: basic (level A2)
• Minimum time: 4 weeks
• Other requirements: none
• Location: 15 minutes from the city´s center
• Work: Volunteers can work in activities that children and adolescents develop and help with homework (English), teaching materials and training, presentation of guidance on the use of the computer. In the dining room, from 11:30 you can help with the preparation and distribution of lunch.
• Working days: Monday / Thursday and Friday all afternoon from 11.30. Open all year long.

Project description
The foundation provides assistance to children and adolescents living in poverty. Parents of children work at the local market and have very little income. The project focuses on education, and seeks to promote the development of children and thereby improve their future. The children are helped with their homework and receive extra help in the areas where they have difficulty. There are educational workshops in the field of handicrafts, mathematics and chemistry tests and for adolescents in areas such as rights, democracy or sex education. The center hosts cultural activities on Fridays such as outings, cooking, cinema, etc.

These are the activities:
•Help children with their homework
•Improve self-image through creative activities, to create a new hope and reduce stress.
•Children attend events like football games or concerts.
•Guide children on recreational activities.
•Plan several programs for children and adolescents.

How can you help?
Volunteers help mainly in organizing activities, workshops and duties. Fridays are commonly busy days as young people also have lunch at the center and cultural activities are organized

Cost
This project just requires a $50 administrative fee once. Additionally, we suggest you to do voluntary contribution for this organization.
