Quito, the oldest capital city of South America, offers a fantastic cultural agenda: its colonial area, the first in the world to hold the title of Worldwide Heritage Site by UNESCO, blended with a vibrant modern district, makes the city a unique setting nested in the Andes.
Visits and activities during this week include:
• Comprehensive city tour in Quito’s Old Town district to discover its superb architecture and colonial treasures
• Quito´s cable car (in case of bad weather, students will visit the Guayasamin museum)
• Middle of the World Monument
• Cotopaxi National Park Bike and hike tour /or/ Otavalo, handicraft market tour
• Salsa lessons (once per week)

The Amazon Rainforest is a marvel of the world and the imagination, an ecosystem of unrivaled size and diversity, and a place of near mythical status. Our participants are invited to discover it by sailing through its snakelike rivers, walking through the forest in middle of giant trees, be surprised by its rich flora and fauna, listen to the people and learning about their ancient culture.
Visits and activities during this week include:
• Artisanal chocolate demonstration
• Canoe tour in the Napo and Arajuno rivers
• Indigenous Kichwa family visit
• Hike in the primary forest
• Tubing in the Arajuno River
• Animal Rescue Center visit
• Optional activities for Saturday with an extra fee: Rafting day tour/or/ Rio Blanco Waterfalls (am) and butterfly farm (pm)
Cuenca, a World Heritage site of UNESCO since 1999, is a city with a fantastic colonial and modern architecture. Crossed by four rivers, Cuenca has a unique taste and sense of tranquility to enjoy a walk on the green river sides.

• City tour in Cuenca
• Pumapungo Ruins
• Cojitambo and Ingapirca ruins
• Salsa lessons (once per week)
• Cooking lessons (once per week)
• Baños Hot Springs (optional with an extra fee)
Manta, an important coastal city and harbor in the province of Manabí. Famous for its beautiful beaches and a spectacular sea food gastronomy, there is much to enjoy.
Visits and activities during this week include:
• Montecristi, where the Panama Hats are made
• Paragliding in Crucita and visit a "Tagua" shop
• Salsa lessons (once per week)
• Cooking lessons (once per week)
• Visit the "Isla de la Plata" in Puerto López (wildlife similar to Galápagos Islands, snorkeling and whale watching (in season only).
Montañita, the best place in Ecuador to enjoy surfing, the beach, great sunsets and nightlife. There are also very good volunteer opportunities in both social and ecological projects. Montañita is located right on the Route of the Sun, a series of great beaches along the coast of Central Ecuador. Visitors from many different countries come to Montañita to experience the warmth of our tropical land, its music and friendly people.
